The Love of Food
For the past year during my recovery on and off since my surgeries, I have been on a balanced diet. During that time, I became to love food but I never thought loving food that you like can hurt. Food is not supposed to hurt. It's supposed to be enjoyable. It is also supposed to improve your health by keeping a balanced diet and eating the right foods. We should eat foods that contain vitamins and minerals. This includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, dairy, and a source of protein. I have been trying to improve my eating habits for better nutrition if I want my stomach and bloating to subside. I love food but sometimes it makes not want to eat. I like to go out to my favorite restaurants, but sometimes I may suffer from discomfort later on. Everyone’s body needs to have a healthy relationship with food to obtain a healthy lifestyle. Eating junk food can become a stress reliever that can cause an unbalanced diet and for me, depression.
